For its first year in 2008, this event was held over one day in September 2008. Canberra turned on the best weather, and the event was oversubscribed. Consequently, we held the festival in 2009 over a two day weekend at the end of September 2009. The weather was not so kind, but the turnout was still amazing. In 2010, the beerfest was held on Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th April . In 2011, the 4th annual festival was held in sunny hot conditions and a strong Saturday crowd of 1500 filed through the gates. Due to rain on Sunday, the event was efficiently moved indoors and provided a nice ambient environment, with 500 enthusiasts providing an adequate buzz on the day. 11 exhibitors were on hand over the 2 days to satisfy the beer enthusiasts' tastes, with over 80 beers and ciders on offer. The 2012 festival was held successfully on Saturday April 14 and a good crowd of nearly 1300 enjoyed the day. This included winners of the 104.7 radio promotion and media passes.
